Freemantle tells the story of events that took place four years ago on the little Floridan island, Duma Key. In the book, Edgar Freemantle, a retired building company owner from Minnesota, gives an account of a chain of events that formed the strangest year in his life. ![]() Each such anthology needs extraordinary stories to stand out among the readers. ![]() Presumably the most common genre in the Indian literary world right now. We fall in and out of love time and again, but we can never be tired of it because it is one of the only few aspects of life we can’t keep ourselves away from, isn’t it?Īn anthology on love. With Love, comes many emotions some of them being pain, betrayal, hatred, hope and friendship. So, keeping the trend alive and after the roaring success of our novice, Uff Ye Emotions, we are back once again with Uff Ye Emotions 2. Randomly, beautifully, haphazardly or passionately, love lives up again for it has been waiting for you, waiting for this union, waiting to merge with you at last. Like the lyrics of an old song which keeps repeating themselves in our mind or a fever dormant in the blood or an importunate lover impossible to get rid of, the memories of love or love itself keeps returning in our lives again and again at the oddest of times and the strangest of places. ![]() ![]() ![]() I hardly know anything about schizophrenia, so I can’t give a perspective on how it truly relates to the illness. I love love love this and you can totally call me out for the huge book nerd that I am. Hidden technical aspects of a novel like this give me life. For act three, there are no dosage notes at all. When things start going downhill (and in a technical aspect, towards the climax of the novel), so is Adam’s dosage as he’s slowly weaned off of the drug. In the beginning, Adam has just started out on the drug ToZaPrex and the dosages are listed at the beginning of each chapter. ![]() To me, that was ingenious and something that was so creative as a writer. Call me a nerd but I absolutely love the fact that Walton had her novel set up in the three-act structure simply by the dosages listed by Adam’s therapist. Boy did she hit it on the nail, though.Īs for the story, I appreciated the way it was structured. I admire Julia Walton the most for that, I think, because it is so hard sometimes as a female writer to write from the male perspective. I often laughed out loud at Adam’s unique humor and felt that I was back in high school with my husband (then boyfriend, of course) listening to his boyish conversations with his friends. Julia Walton did an amazing job shaping Adam’s character as well as the personalities of other supporting characters. I found them to be so well-grounded and extremely relatable. I think what I loved most about Words on Bathroom Walls was the characters. ![]() ![]() Her boyfriend Alex George, 42, said it “melted” his heart to see her receive her new eyeballs. ![]() “I just wanted to appear more normal to the outside world.” Kaylee Muthart with her new prosthetic eyes Alexander George / SWNS “I was so excited to get them,” Muthart, who is enrolled in blind school, told The Sun. Now, I treasure the openness, curiosity, and sincerity of both those visitors and my dad. The visit lasted close to an hour, and soon became a regular occurrence anytime Jehovah’s Witnesses knocked. As a child, I would roll my eyes at the intrusions. They shared their faith then my dad shared his, Islam. ![]() My dad opened the door wide, smiled, and welcomed them into the living room, offering them cups of tea. I peeked out the window to find a pair of suit-clad Jehovah’s Witnesses, and promptly retreated – from what I’d heard, most people avoided them. Ding-dong! She already had traitors blood in her so it shouldn’t have surprised Sera so much that Lucia and her mother did this. Just because her parents weren’t allowed to marry didn’t give them the right to take what wasn’t theirs. ![]() I couldn’t get over how entitled and vain she was. It was also interesting to read from Lucia’s perspective. I get that Sera has a bigger fight that the others, she’s lost her home because of people she trusted betraying her family but it’s six mermaids fighting to save the world from Abbadon, not just one. The first two books mostly focused on Sera and Neela and I felt it was way past time that Astrid, Becca, Ling and Ava had time to tell their stories. I was glad that the other four mermaids finally got some time in this book. I didn’t feel like there was a huge gap between the ending on one book and the start of the next. ![]() I think Dark Tide picks up a not long after Rogue Wave ended.
